Billing

Find the right page for paying your own TaskJuice plan or for billing your clients through Stripe Connect.

Two kinds of billing

Billing in TaskJuice covers two separate things, and they live in different places. Pick the one that matches what you are trying to do.

The first is paying TaskJuice for your own plan: the Starter, Growth, or Scale subscription that runs your account. You manage it from the Plan & Usage page in the sidebar, where you subscribe, change plans, watch usage, and set a monthly spend cap.

The second is billing your own clients, which uses Stripe Connect so payments land in your own Stripe account. That is a separate feature with its own setup, available on the Scale plan, under Client Billing in Workspace Admin.

The two never share a screen, and one does not affect the other. Changing your TaskJuice plan does not touch how you charge clients, and connecting Stripe to collect from clients does not change what you owe TaskJuice.

Plan & Usage lives on the workspace, not in account settings

Open billing from the Plan & Usage item in any workspace's sidebar. The separate /settings/billing page is an "Agency billing, coming soon" placeholder and does not manage your plan. Billing is account-scoped, so the same subscription appears no matter which workspace you open it from.

Pay for your own plan

Start here to subscribe, switch tiers, see what you have used this period, or cap your monthly spend.

Manage your subscription

Subscribe and start a 14-day trial, upgrade or downgrade, cancel at the end of your term, or undo a pending cancellation. Update your payment method through the Stripe portal.

Usage and overage

Read the per-meter usage dashboard, understand throttle and overage states, and set a monthly spend cap so a runaway workflow cannot run up a surprise bill.

Plans and pricing

Compare Starter, Growth, and Scale: monthly price, what each plan includes, and the per-unit overage rates.

Billing limits

The hard caps on each plan, how post-paid overage is charged, and how to recover when a meter freezes.

Bill your clients

Start here if you run an agency on the Scale plan and want to collect payments from your clients through your own Stripe account.

Stripe Connect setup

Connect your Stripe account and define the products and prices you will charge clients for.

Billing clients

Charge clients, track revenue, and manage what each client pays from the Client Billing area.

Who can change billing

Most billing actions are restricted by your account role:

  • Subscribing, changing plans, cancelling, reactivating, and opening the Stripe portal require the account-owner role.
  • Editing the monthly spend cap is allowed for account-owner or account-admin.
  • Viewing usage is open to any account member with read access.

If a billing button is missing for you, your role likely cannot perform that action. For the full breakdown, see Roles and permissions.
