Invite teammates to your account
Invite staff as an admin or member, resend or revoke pending invites, and accept an invitation to join an account.
Goal
Add staff to your account, manage the invites you have sent, and accept an invite if someone added you. Teammates are the people who build workflows, manage clients, and handle settings alongside you.
Teammates are different from clients. A teammate holds an account role and automatically gets full admin access to every client workspace in the account. A client is the external customer you give read-only access to a single workspace. To invite a client instead, see Invite clients to a workspace.
When to use this
Invite a teammate when you want another person on your staff to log in and work across the whole account. Choose the role that matches what they should be able to do:
- Admin can build workflows, invite teammates and clients, create and rename workspaces, and manage branding. Admins cannot access billing, transfer ownership, or delete the account.
- Member can build workflows and view everything, but cannot invite anyone, manage workspaces, manage branding, or touch billing.
There is no Owner option when inviting. Every account has exactly one owner, and ownership only moves through transferring it to an existing admin.
You must be an admin or the owner to invite teammates. Members cannot, and the invite button does not appear for them.
Invite a teammate
Open the Team page
Go to
/team. You will see two tabs: Teammates with the current staff list, and Invitations with any invites still waiting to be accepted.Start an invitation
Select Invite teammate. The invite dialog opens.
Enter the email and choose a role
Type the person's email address, then pick Admin or Member. The default is Member.
Keep in mind that whichever role you pick, the teammate gets full admin access to every client workspace under the account once they accept. The role controls account-level powers (inviting, workspaces, branding), not per-workspace access.
Send the invitation
Select Send invitation. You will see a confirmation that the invite was sent to that email, and a new row appears under the Invitations tab with a status of Pending.
The invitee receives an email with a link. The invite stays Pending until they accept, and it expires 7 days after you send it.
You can send up to 20 invitations per hour. If you hit that limit, wait and try again later.
Resend or revoke a pending invite
Pending invites are managed from the Invitations tab on the /team page. Each row has a Resend and a Revoke action.
- Resend issues a fresh invitation with a new link and a new 7-day expiry. The old link stops working, and only the new email is sent. Use this when the original email was lost, went to spam, or expired.
- Revoke cancels the invitation. Its status changes to Revoked and the link no longer works. Use this when you invited the wrong person or no longer want them to join.
Both actions require you to be an admin or owner, the same permission needed to send the invite.
Accept an invitation
If someone invited you, you accept from the link in the invitation email.
Sign in with the invited email
Open the link from the email. You must be signed in, and the email on your TaskJuice session must match the email the invite was sent to. If it does not match, you will see "Email does not match invitation" and the invite will not be accepted. Sign in with the correct email and open the link again.
Accept the invite
Confirm the invitation. The status changes to Accepted, your account role is granted, and you can now see and work in the account.
Once accepted, you have access to every client workspace in the account with the role you were invited as.
Verify it worked
- On the
/teampage, the new teammate moves from the Invitations tab into the Teammates tab once they accept. - The accepted invitation shows the status Accepted instead of Pending.
- The teammate can sign in and reach the account, including every client workspace.
Troubleshooting
The invite shows Expired. Invitations expire 7 days after they are sent. Open the Invitations tab and resend it to issue a fresh 7-day link.
Accepting fails with "Invitation has expired". The 7-day window passed before the invitee opened the link. The invite flips to Expired automatically. Resend it from the Invitations tab, then have the invitee open the new link.
Accepting fails with "Invitation is no longer pending". The invite was already accepted, revoked, declined, or expired. Check its status on the Invitations tab. If it was revoked or declined, send a new invitation.
Accepting fails with "Email does not match invitation". The signed-in account does not match the invited email. Sign in with the exact email the invite was addressed to, then reopen the link.
You hit a rate limit. You can send at most 20 invitations per hour. Wait for the window to reset before sending more.
The Invite teammate button is missing. Only admins and owners can invite. If you are a member, ask an admin or the owner to send the invite.
