Create your account with the setup wizard

Walk through the five-step setup wizard to pick a plan, name your account, set your URL, add a logo, and choose brand colors.

Goal

The setup wizard turns a brand-new sign-in into a working agency account in five steps: choose a plan, name your account and claim a URL, upload your logos, pick your brand colors, then confirm and pay. By the end you land in your account dashboard with your first workspace already created.

When to use this

Run the wizard the first time you sign in. After you create an account, sign in with the same email goes straight to your dashboard. There is no separate signup page: you create your account from the same form at /login.

The wizard is built for the agency operator who runs client work on TaskJuice. The hierarchy is Account, then Workspace (one per client), then User. The wizard creates the account and your first workspace in a single step; you do not create a workspace by hand here.

Before you start

  • You need a TaskJuice sign-in. Enter your email at /login. If it is a new email, set a password (at least 8 characters) and agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, or use Continue with Google.
  • After sign-in, a brand-new user with no account is sent to the wizard at /onboarding/agency automatically. The page is titled Set Up Your Agency.
  • Have your logo files ready if you want to brand the account during setup. You can also skip branding and add it later.
  • The wizard ends at secure Stripe Checkout. You pay to activate the account, so have a card ready. There is no free tier.

Run the wizard

A progress bar tracks where you are: Step N of 5. The order is fixed: Plan, Name, Logos, Colors, Confirm.

  1. Choose your plan

The first step is titled Choose your plan, with the note "Pick your plan. You can change it any time from settings."

Toggle the billing interval between Monthly and Yearly, then pick one of the three plans:

    PlanWhat it fits
    Starter1 workspace (one client)
    Growthup to 5 workspaces
    Scaleup to 25 workspaces

Each workspace is one client engagement, so the plan you pick sets how many clients you can run at once. You can change plans later from settings. Continue stays disabled until you select a plan.

  2. Name your account and claim your URL

This step is titled Name your agency, with the note "This creates your agency's workspace on TaskJuice."

    Fill in two fields:

    • Agency name (for example, Acme Marketing). This is required and must be 2 to 100 characters. It appears in your client portal, invitations, and account navigation.
    • Your URL is the slug for your account address. As you type the name, the wizard fills the slug for you (for example, acme-marketing). Edit it directly to override the auto-fill. A live line below the field previews the address it produces, such as acme-marketing.taskjuice.ai.

Slugs allow lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens only, 2 to 50 characters. As you type, the wizard checks the slug live and shows one of these states:

    StateMessage
    CheckingChecking...
    AvailableAvailable (green)
Too shortMust be at least 2 characters
Invalid charactersUse only lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens
    TakenThis name is already taken
    ReservedThis name is reserved

Wait for Available before moving on.

  3. Upload your logos

This step is titled Upload your logos, with the note "Add your agency's logo and icon. You can always change these later." It is optional.

    There are two drop zones:

    • Full logo: your logo with your agency name. PNG, JPG, or WebP, max 2 MB.
    • Square icon: your mark without text. PNG, JPG, or WebP, max 2 MB.

These two assets drive the logo in your dashboard sidebar, the sign-in page, and the client portal. Continue enables once you attach a file. To move on without uploading, click Skip for now.

You set the full set of logos, icons, and a favicon later on the branding settings page. See agency branding for the complete asset list.

  4. Pick your colors

This step is titled Pick your colors, with the note "Choose your brand colors. The preview updates live." It is optional.

Start from one of eight named presets: Ember, Ocean, Forest, Violet, Midnight, Sunset, Rose, Slate. The default is Ocean. Or set each color directly with its hex picker:

    ColorWhat it controls
Primary colorButtons, links, and active states
Accent colorHighlights, hover states, and sidebar accents
    Sidebar colorSidebar background and borders

The Preview panel renders your colors against your account name and icon as you change them. If you type an invalid hex value, the field shows "Enter a valid hex color (e.g. #0F172A)". Click Continue, or Skip for now to keep the platform defaults.

These three colors are a subset chosen for speed. The full nine-color palette, with separate light and dark values, lives in branding settings after setup. See agency branding.

  5. Confirm and continue to checkout

The final step is titled You're all set, with "Your agency is ready at:" followed by your address in bold, such as acme-marketing.taskjuice.ai. A note reads: "When you invite a client, they get a branded portal at /portal under your domain."

Review the summary: your account name, logo, icon, and color swatches when you added them. When the details look right, click Continue to checkout. The button shows "Redirecting to Stripe..." while it creates your account and sends you to secure Stripe Checkout. You pay there to activate the account.

Verify it worked

After you complete Stripe Checkout, you land in your account dashboard. Confirm the setup took:

  • Your account address resolves (for example, acme-marketing.taskjuice.ai).
  • Your first workspace already exists, named after your account (for example, "Acme Marketing's Workspace"). You did not create it by hand.
  • You are the account Owner: the single role with billing, ownership transfer, and account deletion.
  • A floating Get started launcher appears in the dashboard. It guides the next steps: build your first workflow, publish it, and invite a teammate.

Troubleshooting

The slug you want is taken at submit time. If someone claims the same URL between your availability check and your final submit, the wizard returns to the Name step and shows "This name is already taken" inline. Pick a different slug and continue again.

A branding upload fails after the account is created. The account still gets created. You see a toast: "Your agency was created, but some branding uploads failed. You can re-upload them in settings." Reupload the affected logo or icon from agency branding.

Checkout does not start. If the account is created but checkout cannot start, you see a card titled We couldn't reach Stripe with "Your agency is ready, but we couldn't start checkout. Please try again." Click the button to retry. Your account is not lost.

You canceled on the Stripe page. Returning to /onboarding/agency?resume=checkout shows a single Resume your checkout card with a Continue to checkout button. It does not restart the wizard or recreate your account; it resumes payment for the account you already made.

Repeated attempts are throttled

If you retry too quickly, you see "Too many attempts. Please wait a moment and try again." Wait a moment, then submit again. If you are offline, you see "Unable to connect. Check your internet connection and try again."

Limits

  • Plans are paid only. There is no free tier, and the wizard always ends at Stripe Checkout.
  • Logos and icons must be PNG, JPG, or WebP and under 2 MB each.
  • The setup wizard sets only three brand colors (primary, accent, sidebar). The full palette and the rest of your assets are set later in branding settings.
  • Your account starts with one Owner. Ownership moves only by transfer, never by invite.
